High speed train to Luxembourg

Taking a high speed train from Switzerland to Luxembourg was part of my first travel baby steps after two pandemic winters.

Spring is here. My urge to travel was bigger than ever after two years of staying at home. Luxembourg is not far away from the Swiss North-Western border. After a short regional train ride to Mulhouse (France), the high-speed train does cover the rest of the journey in less than 3 hours.

I did enjoy strolling through a surprisingly beautiful old town, which is located along a scenic small hill. The upper and lower parts of the city are easily accessible by public elevators. At a small distance, the business and government area with a lot of interesting, modern architecture creates quite an interesting contrast to the old part of the city.

Public transport in Luxembourg is free. Therefore, all the sights are easily accessible by tram or bus - without the need of studying local tariffs.
